Albany Sandwich Shop opens.

Operated by George George and Wanye Joslin, it is located at 473 Albany Street. The restaurant is in a diner that had opened in the early 1960s and where George had worked as a short-order cook. It closes on November 26, 2008 and is subsequently replaced by new restaurant, South End Pita.
